Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats Provides a hearty base.
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (such as almond or peanut butter) Adds creaminess and healthy fats.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Adds natural sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or seeds (like almonds, walnuts, or pumpkin seeds) Customize with your favorites.
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit (like cranberries or raisins) For added sweetness and texture.
  • a pinch salt Enhances flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, nut butter, honey, chopped nuts, dried fruit, and a pinch of salt. Stir until everything is well mixed and evenly coated.
  • Line your baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal, if desired. Alternatively, lightly grease the pan.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Press it down firmly and evenly with your hands or the back of a spoon to pack it in tightly.
  • Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to set. This step is key to ensure your bars hold their shape.
  • Once set, remove from the dish (if using parchment) and cut into squares or bars. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.

Notes

For added flavor, try mixing in a teaspoon of vanilla extract or a sprinkle of cinnamon. Make sure to pack the mixture tightly in the pan to help the bars hold together. If you want a chewier texture, reduce the amount of nuts or dried fruit slightly.
