Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces well-ripe bananas Using ripe bananas is crucial as they provide necessary sweetness and moisture.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt Salt balances the sweetness of the bananas.

Optional Add-ins

  • 1/2 cup raspberries Feel free to substitute them with any berry or omit them altogether.
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free chocolate chips For added chocolaty goodness, can be omitted if desired.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas using a fork or potato masher until smooth.
  • Add the eggs to the mashed bananas and whisk together until fully combined.
  • Stir in the unsweetened cocoa powder and a pinch of salt until the mixture is uniform and well-blended.
  • If using, gently fold in the raspberries and sugar-free chocolate chips.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. The edges should look set, while the center will be soft and fudgy.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the baking dish for about 10 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For extra richness, consider adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the batter. Let the brownies cool completely for a denser texture if time allows. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or in the fridge for up to a week.
